Simultaneous interpreting

Simultaneous or conference interpreting is entrusted to professional interpreters with specific training and proven working experience. During a simultaneous interpreting service, the interpreter is in an acoustically isolated booth and listens to the speech through a headset while translating it simultaneously into the target language through a microphone while the speaker is speaking.
It is used for congresses, conferences, seminars and so on, before large audiences and with several speakers in different languages. Since this service requires intense preparation and concentration, there must be at least two alternating interpreters in the booth. The standard working day covered by the daily rate is 7 hours.
To allow the service is carried out under the best possible conditions the client will be requested, with reasonable advance notice, to submit all the material that may be useful to the interpreter to prepare the specific topic of the event.
